Conversions:
One of Neil’s clients wanted to create a first floor in her barn conversion, and to add an opening through the existing old A-frame. To do this a structural pillar was built to support 3 RSJs which in turn supported the alteration to the A-frame, and the joists for the new wooden floor.
Complete Refurbishment:
Here are some pictures of a small, but beautiful three-storey house in Nanteuil en Vallee which Neil refurbished from top to bottom. During the refurb, Neil exposed many original features which had been covered over in previous years. All new windows were fitted, floors completely revamped, all of the stone walls were repaired, cleaned and re-pointed. The staircase was renovated using part of the original which was re-built, and partly added to with new rails and balustrades.
Windows and Doors:
Neil also fits windows and doors. He can create new openings, or adapt the existing openings, and will liaise with window manufacturers where an existing opening is not of a conventional size.
